Anonymous Sign of Gratitude Brings Smiles to Local Educators
- KRISTI HINE / TRUE DAKOTAN

The day-in, day-out, unpredictable nature of the pandemic has taken a toll on all of us, but for essential workers like teachers, valiantly struggling to ensure that students are getting the best education possible given current challenges, this year has taken a toll. A bright pick-me-up appeared at both the elementary and middle/high schools last week in the form of “Thank You Educators”signs placed anonymously on the lawns of the respective schools. The True Dakotan caught up with some of the elementary educators Tuesday for a photo with the gesture of appreciation.
“The elementary staff want to send a thank you to the people responsible for this sign,” said Wessington Springs Elementary School Principal Carrie Azure. “It put a smile on all our faces when we came to school Wednesday morning!”
