Area businesses respond with new protocols
Today, the South Dakota Department of Health (SDDOH) announced four new positive COVID-19 cases in Jerauld County, bringing the total number of local cases to 10. Included in the total are four active cases, five recovered and one death.
In response to the uptick in cases, several local businesses have made modifications to their operations:
Alpena Co-Op - Closed to in-person visitors. Staff will meet at the door.
Springs Food Market - curbside and delivery only
Jensen's True Value - curbside and delivery only
Jerauld County Courthouse - Courthouse will be locked to the public until further notice. The public is encouraged to call office staff within the courthouse to set up an appointment, or to get direction on how to handle business. All office numbers will be listed on the outside doors of the courthouse
Springs Country Club - Women’s League meeting is postponed until next Wednesday, May 27 at 7 p.m. Meal at 6:30 p.m. and league will officially start in two weeks.
