Corbitt Wall, livestock market analyst for DVAuction and Suzy Geppert, executive director with the South Dakota Beef Industry Council will present at the January 3, 2020 informational meeting hosted by Foothills Cattle Producers. The event is slated to begin at 6 p.m. and will be held at the American Legion in Wessington Springs, SD.

Local group, the Foothills Cattle Producers (FCP), encourage other producers and beef business enthusiasts to follow suit in seeking fair market value for beef cattle by joining them on January 3, 2020 at the American Legion in Wessington Springs for an informational evening.  A social and meal will begin at 6 p.m. with presentations starting at 7 p.m. The FCP has slated two guest speakers for the event.

First on the schedule is Corbitt Wall, commercial cattle manager and livestock market analyst for DVAuction. Wall is best known for his honest and insightful video market report Feeder Flash, that reports every Monday-Friday. Residing in Canyon, TX, Wall reports daily market information and shares commentary on the current livestock market environment. He collects data and information from the National Beef Wire, USDA's price reporting information as well as acquaintances within the industry.

Suzy Geppert, executive director with the South Dakota Beef industry Council, will also weigh in on her oversight of the Beef Checkoff Program. Beef Checkoff is a producer-funded marketing and research program designed to increase domestic and/or international demand for beef. Funds are often used for promotion, research and new product development of beef.  Geppert, along with her husband and children, is a South Dakota cattle producer as well.  She and her family have a long history in the ranching industry as well as involvement in promoting agriculture through youth programs.
