Last week, Jerauld County Ambulance took delivery on a 2019 Horton Ambulance ordered last year, making a vital update to the fleet of the emergency services entity. The 1989 ambulance has been retired and the 2006 model will be used as a secondary ambulance and for transfers.

The rig was paid for by the well-managed Jerauld County Ambulance account, with the funds made up of fees for service over the years.

Parade goers at the Wessington Springs Fourth of July parade will be able to get a first look at the life-saving vehicle this Thursday, July 4 at 2 p.m. and again at the health care campus-wide open house that is tentatively scheduled for mid to late August. More details about that event will be published in upcoming issues of the True Dakotan.
