As the True Dakotan rolled to press on Tuesday afternoon, an email from the Wessington Springs School District was distributed to parents notifying them of a student testing positive for COVID-19 in the district.  The school system was notified by the South Dakota Department of Health and parents are advised to be watchful of their children with symptoms suggestive of COVID-19 illness during the next 14 days.

Over the weekend, the Department of Health announced one new COVID-19 case and six new negative test results in Jerauld County since Friday last week.
