As of September 22, 2020, the SD-DOH reported that in Jerauld County, since the agency began reporting numbers, 73 people have tested positive (up from 51 last week at this time), 322 have tested with negative results (up from 308 last week) and 53 individuals that tested positive have recovered (up from 47 last week). The SD-DOH reported on September 22 that there are currently 19 active cases in Jerauld County (up from three last week) and that one death occurred in the county earlier in the year due to COVID-19.

Due to a lag time between the SD-DOH notifying individuals about test results and reporting numbers on their website, the actual number of positive cases is likely higher than 73 as of True Dakotan press deadline Tuesday.
