New memories were made and old traditions honored as 18 horse-drawn wagons and 102 riders on horseback united in Jerauld County again this year to make their way along an approximate 25-mile route during the annual Kyle Evans Memorial Wagon Train.

The clickety-clack of horse teams pulling wagons met folks in town aiming to greet riders after a two-day ride celebrating the western way of life and the memory of Kyle Evans. Riders and teams made their way from camp toward their final destination, the Jerauld County Rodeo Grounds for the Foothills Bull Bash, with a planned detour past Weskota Manor Avera nursing home.
