parade line

Despite a persistent drizzle Saturday, community members, parents, friends and family showed up in big numbers to celebrate the Class of 2020 during a socially-distanced graduation ceremony at the elementary school. Attendees remained in their cars, honking to show their support of the graduates. Seniors and members of their family were able to enter the gym, pick up their diplomas and exit through the south, to present themselves to the parking lot crowd.

“We’d like to thank the seniors and their parents, along with  Zach Kingery, Marcus Damm, Charlotte Mohling, Jill Braun, Becky Krueger, Betsy Walls and Alicia Roesler for helping to make this ceremony possible,” said middle/high school principal Jason Kolousek.

Immediately following the ceremony, the fire department led seniors around Wessington Springs on a special parade route for the Class of 2020.
