fema meeting

Representatives from a variety of Jerauld County townships, utilities and emergency responders attended a FEMA applicant’s briefing earlier this month to complete Request for Public Assistance forms.

The application process aims to cover costs to repair damage to roads and bridges incurred during the flooding disaster events that took place between March 13 and April 26, 2019.

FEMA asked Jerauld County representatives to be patient throughout the process, which may be especially lengthy due to the high number (124) of active disasters across the United States -- the most disasters at one time to which FEMA has ever responded.
