A big crowd at David Jost Field in Wessington Springs capped off a fun Fourth of July weekend with Owls baseball action Sunday night.

After holding the lead for most of the game, the Owls fell behind in the eighth inning.

“After playing some small ball and getting a sacrifice bunt from Landon Ochsner that advanced runners to second and third, Austin Messmer drilled a single to center in the bottom of the 9th, scoring two runs and giving us the 7-6 win,” wrote Austin Kaus, social media manager for the Owls.
