Celebrating the freedom of good health at annual Weskota Foundation Walk and Run

Athletes from across the region made their way to the Wessington Springs Fire Hall bright and early to participate in the annual Walk and Run for Wellness hosted by Weskota Foundation on July 4.

“We had 29 runners ages 11 to 70 in the 5K, 15 runners in the kids fun run and 26 people participate in the 1.5 mile walk,” said Ellen Powell, Marketing and Foundation Assistant for Weskota Foundation. “We were happy with this turnout as warm as it was.”

Winners of the 5K are shown left to right: Andrew Arnott (ages 31-50 men), Daniela Dean (ages 31-50 women), Rick Muller (ages 51 plus men), Abby Kolousek (age 17 women), Sam Poncelow (age 17 men), Jase Kraft (ages 18-30 men and overall winner).
