WSHS Spring Play: A Behind the Scenes Look

The WSHS students have been busy working on the Spring play for the last month. This play is a murder mystery titled “Too Many Detectives in the Murder Mansion.” This play has no specific lead roles.

Central Electric Cooperative is sending four high school juniors on the National Rural Electric Youth Tour this June. The annual educational trip to Washington, D.C., is hosted by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA).

Local WSHS Seniors Eligible for SACC Scholarships

The Springs Area Community Club is pleased to announce that they will be giving out four $800 scholarships to graduating WSHS seniors who live within the Wessington Springs School District. Applications may be obtained from the High School counselor’s office and returned by April 30, 2026.

From the halls of WSHS we bring a new project to Artist’s Corner.This project was completed recently by Advanced Art senior Maisie O’Day. Maisie wanted to paint a largescale mural in the grade school music room that would portray her love for music.

The WS Senior Citizens Center has launched its 2026 membership drive and is inviting area residents age 55 and older to join.Annual membership is $20 and includes voting rights on how the center is operated, as well as discounts on building and kitchen rentals.
