The arrival of a freshly-cut Christmas tree placed on the corner of City Hall on Main Street and Wallace Avenue in Wessington Springs has been generating holiday excitement as area residents eagerly await the annual Holiday Spectacular.

On Tuesday, December 3 at 6 p.m., a Christmas tree lighting ceremony will add magic and sparkle to Main Street while Christmas carols fill the air.

Following the tree lighting, join friends and families to stroll together along Main Street and greet neighbors while sipping hot chocolate.

Both businesses and restaurants plan to roll out the red and green carpet, treating shoppers to holiday specials just for the night, many of which can be found in the ads here.

With a fresh dusting of snow, the event that has been described as “bringing a Hallmark Christmas movie to life” is sure to kick off the holiday season next week with authentic Christmas spirit.
