Applications for the Wessington Springs Area Community Foundation (WSACF) spring grant cycle must be submitted by April 30, 2026.
Applications may be picked up at the Wessington Springs Chamber & Development office or obtained online at sdcommunityfoundation.org. Completed applications can be mailed to the Area Community Foundation, P.O. Box 157, Wessington Springs, SD 57382.
Grants are awarded twice a year to local charitable or nonprofit organizations in one of five general areas: human services, education, economic development, health and cultural enrichment.
In the most recent grant cycle, awards were distributed to several local organizations:
• The Dunham Historical Society received funding for electrical system renovations.
• The Wessington Springs Area Chamber and Development was awarded two grants to support its Trail of Fears event and Rockin’ Ribfest.
• The Spartan Trap League also received funding for equipment and supplies for its youth program.
