The Kyle Evans Memorial Wagon Train returns to Wessington Springs this week, running Thursday, Sept. 4 through Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025.
Events kick off Thursday evening with a branding party and potluck supper at 6 p.m. at the Crow Lake campsite, located eight miles west of Wessington Springs on Highway 34, then 8.5 miles south on 373rd Avenue. Brands from the event will become part of the Kyle Evans Western Heritage Center ($250 per brand).
The wagon train rolls out at 9 a.m. Friday and Saturday mornings, breakfast will be available both mornings, provided by church groups at the campsite.
On Friday evening, the public is invited to the Crow Lake campsite for supper, live music and entertainment. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
