Benefit for Local Woman Battling Breast Cancer Draws Huge Crowd

The American Legion in Wessington Springs was at capacity Saturday night as hundreds of area folks flocked to a benefit held for Reina Ford who is currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer. The family of Ford released a statement summing up the event: “The words aren’t enough to express how thankful the family of Reina Ford is for the amazing support from our family, friends, and community! The community of Wessington Springs and surrounding areas came out in the masses and made this night a huge success. Thank you to anyone that donated time, auction items, played darts or bean bags, purchased a shirt, bid on an item, or simply came out to show support! Our family is truly blessed! A huge shout out to Dawn and Val Luckett for their auction services and the American Legion Willman-Fee Post 14 for a great place to host.
