Just as the Annual Easter Egg Hunt is a beloved community tradition, the group photo taken for the True Dakotan before kids scamper off in search of eggs is a custom that goes back many decades. This year, to help the Wessington Springs Volunteer Fire Department (WSVFD) celebrate its 125th anniversary, a group of over 100 kids alongside the Easter Bunny lined up in front of the fire hall for the annual photograph. A record number of attendees from far and wide joined in on the festivities throughout the day to help celebrate the vital service WSVFD provides.
