Eight Board Vacancies Announced Across Area Municipalities, School Board

A total of eight vacancies on local, public boards were announced this week within the Town of Lane, Municipality of Alpena, City of Wessington Springs and Wessington Springs School District.

In the Town of Lane, the three-year Trustee term presently held by Ed Gray will become vacant.

In Alpena, the following offices will become vacant due to the expiration of the present terms of office of the elective officers: Gordon Knittel, Trustee, three year term; Jeffrey Kelsey, Trustee, three year term.

As for the City of Wessington Springs, positions will become vacant due to the expiration of the present terms of office of the following elective officers: 1st Ward Alderman – Two (2) Year Term of Kari Fagerhaug; 2nd Ward Alderman – Two (2) Year Term of Vickie Harmdierks; 3rd Ward Alderman – Two (2) Year Term of Tim Schooler.

A pair of three (3) year terms for school board member residing anywhere within the district are set to expire for board members Todd Grohs and Dustin Weber.
