From the halls of WSHS we bring a project completed by Advanced Art II Junior, Ashlyn Weber. For this project, Ashlyn chose to work with two art mediums, pencil and charcoal. She did a nice job drawing the picture and keeping the body proportions correct. The shading in both the pencil and the charcoal is nice and smooth, creating 3-dimensional forms and realism in her artwork. With these two different art mediums it was also easier to create the contrast needed between the very light and very dark value levels.
Ashlyn wanted the final work to communicate an elegant and “old money” atheistic, which she was successful in doing.
