Holiday Magic Makes its Way Back to Jerauld County

The event served as a kick off for WS Winter Park Activities, which continues to offer family-friendly activities that utilize our city park year round. Making memories in the out-of-doors provides community connections and wellness activities in what can be some of the most difficult months of the year here in South Dakota. “Winter Magic in the Park” evoked a captivating Christmas sparkle at the Field House and along the trails at the Wessington Springs City Park with horse-drawn and tractor wagon rides, hot cocoa and a visit from Santa and The Grinch.

With Main Street adorned in its familiar Christmas finery, the annual tree lighting event, trimmed with songs from the community choir, highlighted the community’s holiday spirit during Holiday Spectacular.

Featuring shop-and-dine local specials, area businesses honored the magic and merriment of celebrating local. American Bank & Trust employees served up hot cocoa and treats.

Springs Food Market owner Jen Jensen served up dips with special guest, The Cornerpost, hosting a wine tasting at the grocery store.
