The South Dakota Department of Public Safety has announced plans for 12 sobriety checkpoints in 10 different counties during the month of August.
Checkpoints are scheduled for the counties of: Lincoln, Jerauld, Lyman, Hamlin, Brown, Moody, Minnehaha, Yankton, Pennington, and Meade.
