Jerauld-Buffalo 4-H Members Recognized at Annual Event

Last month 4-H members, along with their families, celebrated their annual 4-H recognition event at the Jerauld Co. Ag Building.

This year marked the 16th year for the Cloverbud Club, a program for kids K-3 who are too young to be in the 4-H program. Members receiving their Cloverbud promotion certificates were Tatum Powell, Memphis Hanson, Kix Coleman and Kactus Coleman.

Graduating 4-H members who received recognition and congratulations include: Udell Barber, Raylee Fagerhaug, Harlee Heim, Troy Fastnacht, Hannah Heezen, Abby Kolousek, Carissa Scheel and Caroline Witte. Carissa Scheel and Harlee Heim received the 4-H key award, the highest award in the 4-H program.

Also recognized during the event was the Friend of 4-H award recipient, Kama Bruns and the Alumni recipient, Alicia Roesler.

Members receiving premiummoneyandproject awards have completed the year’s requirement set forth by the 4-H Parent/ Leader Association. The point system for Jerauld-Buffalo Co. awards consists of points accumulated for County and State judging, County Horse Show, Rodeo, Livestock, Display Exhibits and Shooting Sports. To be eligible for awards, youth are required to give a talk or demonstration, judge, attend meetings, participate in a community service project and complete and turn in their record book.
