Local Legion Auxiliary to Celebrate National Poppy Day

National Poppy Day is Friday, May 24. American Legion Auxiliary members will be taking donations for veterans who have passed away, remembering how they fought for their country and defended it for freedom. Poppies will be given out and Auxiliary members ask that community members wear them proudly “Remember we are still living in a free country because of those that fought for that freedom,” local Auxiliary members expressed.

The community is invited to a potluck dinner at 12 p.m. at the American Legion Hall after the salute to veterans at Prospect Hill Cemetery Monday, May 27.
