This past weekend, members of the local American Legion post, Willman-Fee Post 14, attended the 2024 American Legion State Convention in Pierre.
Jan Krohmer was invited to play in the 2024 American Legion Band.
“You don’t have to be a Legion member to play in the band. Myself and several others were current and former music teachers,” said Krohmer. “The band played for the opening of the convention, a memorial service, a nursing home, and other Legion events.”
Other members that attended the convention on behalf of Willman-Fee Post 14 were Ralph Winegar and Kate Schmidt. Judy Winegar attended the event on behalf of the American Legion Auxiliary. Kate was selected as an alternate delegate to attend the national convention to be held in August in New Orleans.
