Drawing hundreds of people to the city park for live music, food and a kids pedal pull, Saturday’s Rockin’ Ribfest served up delectable pork ribs (so delicious that ribs sold out by 6 p.m.) to attendees. Cooked by nine different teams who competed earlier in the afternoon in a judged competition, the winners are listed below.
Taking home the top prize were the team of Ryan Knipfer and Jason Weber. The champs, along with all the pictured contestants, are shown with Laura Baker and Ed Gray of the Rockin’ Ribfest committee. Winners of the second place title were Carter and Gene Gaikowski. Brandon and Brady Duxbury took home third in the rib competition. Rib samplers were able to vote on their favorite ribs with the winners of the People’s Choice award going to the team made up of Thad Jacobson, Scott Miller and Brian Kolousek.
