The Jerauld County Treasurer issues a reminder to taxpayers that the second half of the 2022 real estate taxes that are due in 2023 must be paid by October 31, 2023.
On November 1, 2023 and the first day of the month thereafter, interest will be charged on the unpaid amount. The interest rate is 10% a year.
If taxpayers are planning on mailing a payment, make sure the envelope is postmarked October 31, 2023. If it has a November postmark, interest will be charged for the entire month. A receipt will not be mailed unless a stamped, selfaddressed envelope is included.
