Area kids welcomed summer on Monday as abundant sunshine and temperatures in the 80s made the Wessington Springs Municipal Pool a popular destination.
Friday, May 31 marked the official opening day for the pool, following a slight delay as pool repairs were made for the season.
Two swimming lesson sessions will be offered this year: June 17 - June 28 and July 22 - August 2. Swimming lesson sign up sheets are at City Hall. Pool passes can also be purchased at City Hall: $30 for single and $50 for family. Swimming lessons: $20 if purchased with a pool pass or $25 if purchased alone.
