Venture Communications Cooperative, a Highmore based telecommunications provider, announced this month the availability of fourteen (14) $750 Citizenship and Community Service Scholarships to high school seniors. The local telecommunications company will be awarding scholarships throughout the serving areas operated by Venture Communications.
“The Venture Communications Board of Directors feels it is extremely important to reward the efforts of students in our area communities and schools by assisting with the expenses associated with higher education,” said Venture Communications CEO/GM Fay Jandreau.
Judgingof theapplications will be based on local community involvement and citizenship with credit also being given for academics and leadership skills. Only students whose parents or guardians are an active subscriber of Venture Communications are eligible for the scholarship program.
“It is gratifying to reward the hard work and dedication put forth by the selected recipients,” stated Jandreau.
