During halftime of last week’s home basketball game, members of the Lady Spartans Volleyball team presented a $2300 check to Weskota Foundation for the team’s 2023 Volley for a Cure night.
“The students at Wessington Springs High School continue to amaze us with their hard work and kindness as they hold this event every year for our Cancer Fund,” said Ellen Powell, Weskota Foundation Coordinator. “Their goal was to help those in our service area fighting cancer and they succeeded!”
Powell explained that because of their work, anyone in the Weskota Foundation’s service area (call and ask if you qualify) with a cancer diagnosiscangethelpwith travel to appointments and treatment from the foundation.
Powell said inquiries can be made in person at the Avera Weskota Memorial Hospital business office or by calling 605-539-1201 for more information.
