125 years: 1898 - 2023
The Wessington Springs Volunteer Fire Department invites the community to two special events on Saturday, April 8 in celebration of the department’s 125th anniversary.
Saturday morning, join firemen for “Pancakes with the Easter Bunny” beginning at 8:30 a.m. through 12 p.m. While firefighters serve up a hot and hearty breakfast, kids can visit with the Easter Bunny while parents snap photos. The free will breakfast serves as one of the fire departments largest fundraisers of the year.
Later that same day, from 1 - 3 p.m., head to the fire hall for an open house, tour the fire trucks, see equipment demos and enjoy refreshments. To honor 125 years of a thriving volunteer fire department in Wessington Springs, scrapbooks from throughout the decades will be on display for guests and community members to view.
