Jerauld County Sheriff Jason Weber reminds area residents and visitors to Jerauld County communities to heed firework laws and ordinances this Fourth of July holiday. According to South Dakota Codified Law 3437-16.1, fireworks are permitted June 27 to the first Sunday after July Fourth.

An announcement last week by the Rural Office of Community Services (ROCS), shook the community of Wessington Springs, as an immediate suspension to church transport and a pause of meals on wheels delivery by Springs Area Bus begins Friday, June 27, 2025.
