FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION SET FOR WESSINGTON SPRINGS

Rodeo action, a community parade, turtle races, fireworks and a full day of family activities are planned as Wessington Springs prepares to celebrate Independence Day.Festivities begin Thursday, July 2, with the Foothills Rodeo Queen Contest at 1 p.m. and the Foothills SDRA Rodeo at 7 p.m.
Val and Dawn Luckett were recently recognized by the South Dakota Auctioneers Association for their contributions to the auction profession. Val was inducted into the association’s Hall of Fame, while Dawn was honored for her excellence and dedication during nearly two decades of service as the organization’s executive secretary.

Doeden’s portfolio: Real estate, car dealerships, bitcoin and a TIF

ABERDEEN, S.D. – Businessman Toby Doeden, whose campaign for governor has hinged largely on the elimination of all property taxes, has links to real estate investment companies that would save more than half a million dollars annually under that plan, according to public records.
