I wrote my Cuppy’s Corner News Monday morning. Delia Atkinson got it later in the forenoon.
Tuesday, I enjoyed the chicken dinner and cake from the Manor kitchen. At 1 p.m. I had physical therapy with Brittany. Kelly Knippling Gran came for Home Health at 1:30 p.m. She did two loads of laundry and vacuumed etc. I ordered groceries from Springs Food Market at 4 p.m. Peggy Jensen delivered them at 5:30 p.m. I appreciate the service.
Wednesday Kathy Larson was hostess for the 9 a.m. coffee. She served delicious banana bread and had candy and cheese sticks to pass around. Enjoying the food and fellowship were me, Joyce Mees, Lorraine Schultz and Luella Teveldal.
Cards were played at 2 p.m. in the south dining room. Enjoying the afternoon with me were Ruth Jensen, Luella Teveldal, Joyce Mees, Lyle Pawlowski, Lynette Marken, Marilyn Robbins and Eileen Thomas. Coffee and an assortment of cookies were served by Ruth Jensen.
Thursday, I enjoyed the Philly beef sandwich dinner and cookie dessert from the Manor kitchen. My granddaughter Baleigh Sails came after school. We watched the basketball games at Sunshine Bible Academy. The girls Varsity Spartans won 58-29 over SBA. The boys Varsity Spartans won 57-39 over SBA.
Friday, I enjoyed the brat, potato salad and strawberries from the Manor kitchen. I had physical therapy with Jen Jensen at 1:30 p.m. I enjoyed watching the basketball game between the Ethan Rustlers and the Wessington Springs Spartans in Wessington Springs on the TV. The JV girls score was Ethan 21, Wessington Springs 38, the Varsity girls score was Ethan 62, Wessington Springs 30, the Varsity Boys score was Ethan 61, Wessington Springs 66.
Saturday Baleigh Sails spent all day with Grandma Dar since Candi Sails was working in Mitchell. We enjoyed the BBQ ribs, baked beans, cornbread and sauce from the Manor kitchen.
Sunday Elaine Roetman and I rode the bus with Joanne Grohs to the Methodist Church. Pastor Cheri Van Gorp welcomed everyone and said a prayer. We sang “Leaning on the Everlasting Arms.” We all said the Lord’s Prayer. Pastor Cheri shared the children’s message with several children. The offering was taken. Pastor Cheri’s sermon was “This little Light of Mine” Scripture Ephesians 5. Pastor Cheri did a beautiful Baptism service for Hallie Ray Anson, daughter of Kaci and Collin Anson.
