Monday, March 23, 2026, Grandma Darleen was up early. She had a whirlpool bath before breakfast, where she enjoyed an egg and a pastry. Grandma enjoyed the afternoon BINGO. For supper she had scalloped potatoes and ham. Becky stopped out after track practice.
On Tuesday, March 24, 2026, grandma enjoyed the chicken, mashed potatoes, and gravy for lunch. Candi stopped in for a visit. Becky Krueger stopped after track practice and brought Grandma some fresh flowers from Ranchy Stems and the fundraiser, “Just Because”. For supper, grandma enjoyed a BBQ and tater tots and a delicious glass of chocolate milk.
On Wednesday, lunch was spaghetti and green beans. Candi came today and she enjoyed playing BINGO with grandma. Grandma had the lucky cards. Becky came and read Cuppy’s Corner from the True Dakotan to grandma before supper. Becky pushed her down to the dining hall where she enjoyed a ham salad sandwich and veggie beef soup.
On Thursday, March 26, 2026, Darleen went for another whirlpool bath and then enjoyed oatmeal with raisins and a muffin with chocolate milk. For lunch, she ate a sandwich with potato salad. Grandma played a dice game in the afternoon and then enjoyed a dish of ice cream and cookie. For supper, grandma had a burger, tater tots, and green beans. Becky called to let Grandma know that she was joining Mette, Marla, Connie Ness, Craig and Cheryl VanAsperen, and Brian, Julie, Carlie Bell in Mitchell to watch Berklie Bell’s 5th grade show choir performance. Grandma enjoyed seeing the pictures on Facebook.
Friday, March 27, 2026, grandma had a good breakfast of cocoa wheats, French toast, sausage, and syrup. Supper was a grilled cheese sandwich with soup.
Saturday, March 28, 2026, Grandma was very happy to see some of the beautiful girls in their prom dresses that stopped out to show her. Jada Kolousek and Addyson Orth are two of the girls in the senior class that also work here and assist grandma.
Sunday, March 29, 2026, due to illness there was no afternoon church service at 3pm. Grandma still enjoyed a chocolate chip cookie and tea after lunch. Becky stopped out to visit, and we sat outside to enjoy the beautiful, blue sky. There was just a light breeze, and it was so enjoyable to get outside and get some fresh air. Grandma enjoyed FaceTime calls with Cindy, Cheryl, and Connie. Cindy is surprising Grandma and coming to visit for a couple of days.
