On Monday, April 13, 2026, there were Dominos played in the morning and then after lunch, Grandma got her fingernails painted. There was some afternoon music by Carolyn & Teresa.
On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, breakfast was cocoa wheats, donut, and chocolate milk. Grandma enjoyed the beanbag toss in the afternoon.
On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, breakfast was cream of wheat, toast, donut, and chocolate milk. At 2:00pm, Grandma attended the music program in the dining hall. The musicians came from Huron. It was great music and they had a very nice lunch afterwards, with cake and soft-serve ice cream. Becky stopped in the evening. She read the newspaper to Grandma.
On Thursday, April 16, 2026, Cindy and Cheryl spent the day with Grandma. They attended a care conference for Grandma. Cindy arranged for the bus to come and get them, and they went up to the Springs Inn for lunch. That was a treat to see so many people. Some of the high school kids were there for lunch as well. The weather was nice, sunny, and quite warm. Cindy helped take care of some business on Grandma’s behalf while she was in town. Becky called in the evening, as she was at a track meet in DeSmet today. The kids did really well!
On Friday, April 17, 2026, breakfast was waffles, sausage, egg, and chocolate milk. For lunch we had a hot dog, beans, pasta salad, and a bowl of fruit. Grandma went out to play BINGO in the afternoon and she won four times! She enjoyed a dish of soft serve ice cream and a cookie. How the weather has changed and it is quite cool again.
On Saturday, April 18, 2026, breakfast was cocoa wheats, toast, a dish of fruit, and chocolate milk. Grandma enjoyed the musical talents of the young man, who works in the kitchen, as he played his guitar and sang songs in the dining hall this afternoon.
On Sunday, April 19, 2026, Grandma received a beautiful pink flower arrangement delivered by Ranchy Stems. This is a subscription, which was her birthday gift from Jeff and Connie. Grandma sure has enjoyed getting these monthly bouquets. Grandma went down to the church service at 3pm, where Pastor Cheri led the service. It was nice to have many people join in the service. Becky stopped in the afternoon to visit and while there, we got the Cuppy Corner news typed.
Grandma Dar sure loves to get hand-written notes from the kitchen staff. Evelyn Moralez, who wrote a note on Saturday that said, “Choose to be happy today, because happiness looks amazing on you.” If you see Evelyn around town this week, wish her a Happy Birthday, as she will be celebrating on April 23.
