Attendees of the 13th Annual Festival of Tables will have more than beautifully decorated tables and fellowship to enjoy this year, as a variety of door prizes and silent auction items have been lined up for the May 2 event at the Wessington Springs Senior Center.
According to event organizers, door prizes include a fresh bouquet from 2nd & Bloom donated by the Senior Center, gift certificates from Springs Inn and Springs Food Market, and four geranium arrangements in soup bowls donated by Jean Ferguson.
The event will also feature a silent auction with items from local businesses and community members. Among the offerings are a tulip bouquet from Ranchy Stems, a houseplant from 2nd & Bloom, a homemade pie from Sweet Grass, and four Minnesota Twins baseball tickets donated by Daktronics. The True Dakotan has contributed a one-year print and e-edition subscription.
Additional auction items include a variety of handmade and homegrown goods from Senior Center members, such as quilted items, plants, and a homemade cake presented on a cake plate.
The Festival of Tables will be held Saturday, May 2, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., featuring decorated tables, entertainment, food and fellowship, along with the silent auction.
