The City of Wessington Springs will conduct its annual spring clean-up on Monday, May 11. Residents are asked to have items placed at the curb by 7 a.m.
City crews will collect tree branches, appliances, furniture and carpet. Items must be sorted by type and placed horizontally in the street for pickup.
Household trash, cardboard, plastics, Styrofoam, paint containers and similar materials will not be accepted and should be disposed of through regular garbage service. Items will not be collected if unauthorized materials are included.
City employees will not pick up whole trees, tires or batteries during the clean-up.
The city noted it is not responsible for any lawn damage that may occur during collection.
