On Monday, May 11, 2026, Grandma was able to go to the whirlpool bath before breakfast. At breakfast, grandma ate cocoa wheats, muffin, and a hard-boiled egg. After lunch she enjoyed the Mother’s Day program and then some angel food cake. For supper, she ate potato soup, an egg salad sandwich, and a fruit sauce.
On Tuesday, May 12, 2026, grandma enjoyed some cocoa wheats, scrambled eggs, and a donut with chocolate milk. The Minnesota Twins played at 6:30pm. The Twins won 3-0. For supper, grandma ate goulash and cauliflower with cheese sauce.
On Wednesday, May 13, 2026, breakfast was cocoa wheats and toast. Grandma enjoyed getting her fingernails painted. Then she really enjoyed the beautiful music played and sang by a couple from Sioux Falls, The L-Attitude. After the program, they served softserve ice cream. The Twins lost 5-9. Becky stopped in after the Academic Night and showed her the picture of the recipient of the Weeldreyer Scholarship. Becky presented the scholarship on our family’s behalf to Logan Mohling, daughter of Cory and Joy Mohling.
On Thursday, May 14, 2026, grandma enjoyed a good breakfast. In the afternoon, grandma played BINGO and had cookies and ice cream. Grandma enjoyed a chicken hotdish for supper and then was happy to hear the Twins won 9-1. Becky stopped in as her track meet was canceled.
On Friday, May 15, 2026, the Twins started their game series against the Milwaukee Brewers and they lost 2-3.
On Saturday, May 16, 2026, Grandma enjoyed lunch with Carol and Ashley Collins. They brought lunch in from the Cone Zone. They enjoyed a nice visit. Becky stopped in to visit all three ladies before going to the gym for the WSHS graduation. Grandma was able to watch the graduation on her tablet. The Twins lost again 1-2 to the Brewers.
On Sunday, May 17, 2026, the Twins turned it around and beat the Brewers 5-4. Grandma attended church service in the Dining Hall led by members of OSLC. For lunch Grandma ate pork roast with au gratin potatoes and a slice of pie! Cindy called on the VideoFrame. Becky stopped in to visit. The weather had changed and we received some rain, but we could use some more rain. Becky assisted Grandma by typing the news. Granddaughter, Ella Darleen White graduated from Sioux Falls Lincoln High School today. For supper, grandma had a ham salad sandwich with potato soup.
