Think you have the best ribs around? The Wessington Springs Area Chamber & Development is looking for teams and backyard pitmasters to compete in the Rockin' Ribfest BBQ Rib Competition on Saturday, Aug. 8, at Wessington Springs City Park.
Contestants will compete for bragging rights while serving up their best barbecue during the community event, which will also feature food and drink vendors, a beer garden hosted by the Wessington Springs Area Chamber & Development, a cornhole tournament and live music by Bad Habits beginning at 6 p.m.
The event opens to the public at 4 p.m. Admission is free, with barbecue samples available for $2 per rib.
