Alexis Meyer is beginning her first year in the classroom as Wolsey-Wessington’s elementary music and sixth grade choir teacher. Originally from Sioux Falls, Meyer graduated from Harrisburg High School before earning her degree from the University of South Dakota. She also has family ties to the area, as her mother is originally from Tulare.
Meyer said she is looking forward to getting to know her students and sharing her love of music with them.
“Getting to make music — it’s my favorite thing,” Meyer said. “I’m really excited.”
