Foothills News: “Cuppy’s Corner”

I wrote my Cuppy’s Corner News Monday morning. Delia Atkinson got it later in the forenoon. My granddaughter Becky Bell Krueger went with me to the foot doctor in the clinic later in the forenoon.

Tuesday, I enjoyed the fried chicken dinner and carrot cake from the Manor kitchen. Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. the Methodist Women’s Fellowship met in the dining room. Attending were Pastor Cheri Van Gorp, Elaine Roetman, Sandy Wenzel, Peg Cosby Olson, Rochelle Witte, Diane Winter, Mary Jane Belz, Cheryl Manthei, Kathy Brandenburg, Eileen Thomas and me. Lunch of coffee or tea and brownies with ice cream was served by Sandy Wenzel and Pastor Cheri had a tray of cheese and salami.

Wednesday 9 a.m. coffee was served by Joyce Mees. She served crackers and cheese and a Rice Krispies bar. Enjoying the food and fellowship along with me were Lorraine Schultz, Kathy Larson, Luella Teveldal and Kathy Brandenburg. I enjoyed the spaghetti dinner and chocolate pudding from the Manor kitchen. Bingo was played at 2 p.m. on Wednesday. Shirley Bender called the numbers. Enjoying the afternoon were Joyce Mees, Marilyn Robbins, Luella Teveldal, Sandy Fuerst and me. My granddaughter Baleigh Grace Sails came after school and for supper.

Thursday, I enjoyed the Philly beef sandwich and dessert from the Manor kitchen. Girls State B Tourney started in the Huron Arena at 8 p.m. The SCW Blackhawks played Lyman County Raiders. The Blackhawks won 5340. Baleigh Sails came to Grandma Dar’s after school and for supper.

Friday the girls State B tournament in the Huron Arena had the SCW Blackhawks playing the St. Mary’s Cardinals. The Blackhawks won 45-43. My daughter Candi Sails got some groceries for me and put them away.

Saturday, I enjoyed the Salisbury steak dinner and cake from the Manor kitchen. Also, watched the finals of the girls State B tournament.

Sunday, I watched the Christian Worship Hour on TV. Candi and Baleigh brought me a church bulletin and visited a while. I enjoyed the turkey dinner and cream pie for dinner. Sunday evening the Catholic Church served turkey, dressing, potatoes and gravy, coleslaw, corn, bun and cake with mint green frosting. It was delivered by Craig Fonder and another young man. Enjoying the food and fellowship were Donna Satter, me, Kathy Larson, Lorraine Schultz, Judy Baumgart, Joyce Mees, and Sandy Fuerst. We all agreed it was so delicious and very generous servings!
