Duane Alan Grieve of Worthington, OH passed away on May 29, 2022 at the age of 70.
Duane was born November 26, 1951 to Hollis and LaVaughn (Geiver) Grieve in Wessington Springs, SD. He attended school in Wessington Springs and graduated from WSHS with the class of 1970.
Shortly after graduation, he entered the US Navy serving on the operations deck of the USS Constellation Aircraft Carrier. Duane attended college at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS and received his master’s degree at Avila College in Kansas City, MO. Duane’s career was in the mental health counseling field.
Duane married Rebecca Wheeler on January 9, 1988 in Overland Park, KS. They moved to Worthington, OH in 1995.
Duane is survived by his wife Rebecca, sons Donovan Grieve and Caleb Grieve, stepson Ivan Watkins, grandsons Darius Grieve and Thorin Grieve, his sisters Joyce (Rod) Smith, Eileen (Reed) Woodruff, Cynthia (Todd) Westin, Lynette Grieve and Laurie (Lonnie) Smith, mother-in-law Maudene Barkemeyer, sister-in-law Elizabeth Wessex and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister-in-law Susan Wheeler.
