Community invited to “Ignite” Your Faith Event April 30

The Wessington Springs Area Community Youth Group (CYG) spent the past year studying the story of Jesus and how to stay “plugged in” and shine His Light.

To celebrate the end of their studies, they will host a “revival” on April 30 and have invited Rev. Zach Kingery to deliver the message at the event. A spiritual revival is a period of spiritual awakening or renewed faith. It refers to a time when people turn back to God and seek Him with all their hearts.

Rev. Zach Kingery is an ordained elder in the Global Methodist Church and is currently a Network Director with Dirt Roads Network. A familiar face to the Jerauld County area, Rev. Kingery served as pastor for seven years at Wessington Springs Methodist Church.

He is a Kansas native who grew up attending Lamont Wesleyan Church and has rural church revitalization as part of his spiritual DNA. With a BA in Pastoral Ministry and Biblical Study and a Master of Divinity, Rev. Kingery has also pastored in small town and rural churches in Oklahoma, Missouri and other areas of South Dakota. As a Network Director, he works with denominations, church leadership, and pastors to be effective in the mission field of rural America.

The community is invited to attend the revival on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, 7 p.m. at the Historic 1905 Opera House in Wessington Springs. CYG invites all denominations and the community as a whole to join, ignite their faith and carry Jesus’ light out into the world. In addition to Kingery’s message, the event will feature special music, plus additional worship songs and fellowship.
