Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central shut out the Golddiggers 38-0 Saturday at Sanborn Central High School in Forestburg.
The Blackhawks scored in every quarter, improving to 2-1 in Class 11B play on the season.
Blackhawks quarterback Holden Havlik completed 9 of 12 pass attempts for 113 yards and two scores, with Blake Larson adding a 42-yard touchdown pass on his only attempt. Camden Jost carried 10 times for 87 yards and a touchdown, as Havlik also had a rushing score. Defensively, Jost and Toby Kneen led the Blackhawks with 6.5 tackles apiece, with Larson intercepting two passes.
Next up, the Blackhawks take on McCook Central/Montrose on Friday, Sept. 9 in Forestburg.
