    Over 100 women enjoyed a fun, health-focused “ladies night out” at the Women's Wellness Expo held at the American Legion in Wessington Springs last week. The event featured speakers, shopping at vendor booths, food, prizes and fun. According to event organizers, the free event that is sponsored by the Weskota Foundation and Health Education Team aims to invigorate the health of area women through their body, mind and spirit.

    The featured speaker was Rebekah Scott, a wife, mom to four kids and entrepreneur from Valley Springs, SD. She encouraged women in attendance to take control of their roles at home and work through four simple systems she created: Me, Food, Family and Work Systems.

    An abundance of door prizes rounded out the fun night that catered to women and their overall health.
