Last week during the December 5, 2022 Jerauld County Commissioner meeting, newly appointed District 5 Commissioner DeVonne Losing took an oath of office to serve a two-year term with her office to be up for election in the 2024 election cycle. The District 5 office became vacant following the October 11, 2022 passing of longtime Jerauld County Commissioner Ronny L. Kopfmann.
