The bright side of winter storms is great conditions on the sledding hill in Wessington Springs. Famous across the state, a family from Houston visiting family in the Wolsey area over the holidays visited the well-known ski hill twice during their visit.
This year’s “Wessington Springs Winter Park Season Pass” car window decal can be purchased for a $5 donation and advertises Wessington Springs far and wide. This year’s donations will go toward a propane fireplace insert for more heating in the Field House and for a thicker easier-to-grip tow rope, in addition to regular operational costs.

Skates are available to check out, free of charge once the skating pond west of the Field House is filled and groomed.
Before the snow came, Winter Park Activities hosted ‘Magic in the Park” in early December featuring horse drawn wagon rides and hot cocoa in the Field House.
