In the semifinals of the 281 conference tournament the Wessington Springs Spartans girls defeated James Valley Christian by a score of 47-37 to advance to the 281 conference championship game.
The Spartans did not start off well offensively and trailed 9-4 at the end of the 1st quarter.
In the 2nd quarter it continued to be difficult for the Spartans to make shots and JVC led 20-10 at halftime.
