After an exciting 2nd place team win at regions held May 23 in Dell Rapids, Blake Larson, Brock Krueger and JD Thompson all individually qualified to play at the State Golf Meet on June 5 and 6 in Watertown. Luke Larson, although not individually qualifying, will be pulled up to join the others and play on the first Wessington Springs Boys Golf State qualifying team in nine years.
Teveldal said that it’s no surprise the boys have had such success during the season based on the extra time they spend on the course.
“They are putting in the extra time and effort and they work hard. I’ve told them they are very good examples for the underclassmen,” she said. “We have a very strong core boys team, they are young too, we have some depth and they will be a force to reckon with.”
