Wessington Springs Among Clinics
Patients in four of Horizon’s clinic locations can now book their medical appointments as easily as checking an app on their phone.
Horizon is debuting online scheduling in the communities of Wessington Springs, Woonsocket, Plankinton and Fort Thompson on July 17. Providers with online scheduling are Sara Cashman, CNP; McKenzie Bormann, PAC; Jessica Ormsmith, MD: Terry Weaver, MD; Katlyn Rostyne, CNP; Dan Kvale, PA-C; and Diane Inch, MPA-C.
The online scheduling option is currently open for medical appointments. Horizon is using the four communities to trial the scheduling widget before rolling it out in its 22 communities across South Dakota.
“Research shows patients enjoy the flexibility of booking appointments from their computer or phone,” said Brett Mayer, Horizon Director of Operations. “They have the flexibility of keeping on top of their primary care while watching their child’s sports game. We’re happy to test this next level of convenience for our patients.”
Research shows that 67% of patients prefer online booking and 40% of appointments are booked after business hours.
